About Darlene Benton

P7300282 Darlene Benton has created a world where mind, body and spirit thrive. As director of her own healing center, Paradise Healing Arts in Albion, NY, she teaches what she lives and hosts others who help people connect with their body, mind and spirit through various healing modalities.

A world traveler, Darlene returned to the town she grew up in to raise her son Dylan and share both her educational and spiritual experiences. For ten years she served as the Assistant Dean of Instruction for Genesee Community College’s Orleans Campus Center, assisting in the development of three more centers in the Genesee Valley. Her advisement of students and mentoring of campus center peers brought her the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Professional Service.

But by the late 90’s Darlene began to feel this wasn’t the path she would continue. Accompanying a college Environmental Biology class to Costa Rica with her son, Darlene awoke to a dream she had envisioned for over 20 years... to work in the field of healing. Her experiences in the rainforests, hiking along the Caribbean shores and camping on the beach brought her front and center with nature, indigenous cultures and her own spirit. This was to become the beginning of a path Darlene felt inside her since she was a very young girl, but had not manifested.

MCVol1 Now, ten years later, Darlene is a licensed massage therapist in NY and Nationally Certified by NCBTMB, a CORE Structural Therapist, CORE Myofascial Therapist, Reiki Master, Advanced Master Shapeshifter, Weekly Columnist, T’ai Chi Chuan, QiGong and Creative I Ching Instructor, Keynote Speaker as well as the director of Paradise Healing Arts. In her free time she is working on her upcoming book, “Between the Lines”, the story of her journey into her heart and into the world to shapeshift energy into the light. Darlene also plants fruit trees and bushes, facilitates workshops on self care and living in the light, hikes, canoes and kayaks and works with her son Dylan rehabbing houses.

Darlene enjoys her work as a bodyworker, writer and teacher and her mission is one that envelops everything she believes in.

“My mission is to nourish my Mind, Body and Spirit so I can be a Spirit of Light for all those whose lives I touch.
Through my writing I choose to share with others the inspiration to live their most creative choices and to feel joy when they think of their Spirit.
Through bodywork, I choose to connect people with their core essence and to guide them on their healing path.
Through my workshops and speaking engagements I choose to bring out the love and imagination in each person’s heart, sharing skillful means so they might care for themselves and ultimately share with others the same skillful means to an abundant, healthy and joyful life.”
